Ingredients
1 Round Brinjal weighing 300 - 400 grams
Masala to be used
2 tablespoons wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon ajwain (Carom seeds)
1/2 teaspoon saunf powder (Fennel seeds)
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
Mix all these spices and keep aside.
Oil for shallow frying
For initial sprinkling
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Method
Cut the brinjal into 1/4 inch round slices, sprinkle salt and turmeric on both
sides and set it aside for ten minutes. Apply the masala mixture on both the
sides and shallow fry on a tawa (flat pan) till golden brown. Sprinkle chat
masala and coriander and serve hot.
